How we list cleaners

Every listing is built from the business's own website, and every claim we show is quoted from it with a link.

Who gets listed

  • Businesses that clean private homes in the Republic of Ireland: regular house cleaning, deep cleans, end of tenancy, after builders, holiday let turnovers, or specialist oven, carpet and window cleaning.
  • They must have their own working website that names the business. A social media page alone is not enough.
  • Their website must show that they are based in, or serve, the county they are listed under.
  • We leave out booking platforms and agencies, recruitment sites, and individuals advertising privately.

What we check

We research businesses county by county, then open each business's own site to confirm the services it offers, the areas it covers, and its contact details. Each listing shows the date it was checked and links to the pages used. We also check automatically that every website still loads, and remove listings whose sites have gone.

Where a business says it is insured, uses Garda-vetted staff, or brings its own products, we show that with the exact quote and a link. We do not verify these claims ourselves. Ask for proof of insurance before work starts. Private householders cannot request Garda vetting, so read our guide to Garda vetting and cleaners.

How listings are ordered

Nobody pays for position. On county pages, house cleaning companies come first, then specialists. Within each group, businesses based in the county come before those that travel in, then names run A to Z.

No ratings

We do not show star ratings or reviews. We cannot verify them, and fake reviews are common. Ask businesses for references instead.

Corrections and removals

If you run a listed business and something is wrong or out of date, or you would rather not be listed, email[email protected] from an address at your business's domain if you can. We aim to act within a few working days.
